It depends on the product.

• We saw frozen Matangara into blocks and thaw them.
• We thaw chicken livers or gizzards.
• We soak Omakunde and speckled sugar beans.
• Thereafter, the process is the same:
• Transfer a predetermined weight of the product into batching cups.
• Fill a retort pouch with the product.
• Inject steam into the pouch, expelling any remaining air
• Fill the pouch with pre-cooked sauce, seal it, and retort it at a high temperature to sterilise the product while cooking it.

Two years from the date of manufacture. Once opened our products need to be refrigerated and consumed within 48 hours.

There are three methods:

• Place the pouch in boiling hot water for a few minutes.
• Or make a 2cm cut or tear in a top corner of the pouch and microwave for 2-3 minutes.
• Or pour the contents into a pan or pot, heat gently for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
